SKY ROCKETING GAS!
During an average surveillance or day of investigation, an investigator can easily put on 100 miles per day. In fact our company average is 107 miles per day! This means there will be days of 200 - 300 miles as well. Just a simple drive across town can be 30 miles each way. An investigator will also carefully calculate their surveillance position and thoroughly checkout the area or even change positions during the actual surveillance as the day grows on. Then there are the spot checks the investigator does when he is not actively working your case or the local background checks that may be requested. No one is counting mileage when a case is ongoing. We Flat Rate most assignments because we feel the client needs an idea of what the job will cost.
At the end of the day though, the rising cost of gas affects everyone. It even affects the costs of oil changes and maintenance on surveillance vehicles. Since there are expenses we can not control, we work on our inter-company efficiencies to reduce costs and maintain our industry setting lower costs pricing.
